Overview
Reframing the second wave
The first wave of GLP-1 analysis focused correctly on pharma winners and packaged food losers. The second wave is quieter and harder to model: durable changes in portion size, snacking frequency, and alcohol consumption among a growing base of long-term users.

Digestive health, vitamins, and portion-oriented meal categories show early volume shifts that are still being attributed to macro softness rather than to a structural change in the user base. We think this misattribution is creating a gap between market perception and underlying category dynamics worth watching closely.
